Fabiana Rezende Muniz

Agrônoma formada pela Universidade Federal de Lavras (2002-2007). Mestre em Agronomia (Fitotecnia) pela Universidade de São Paulo (ESALQ/USP) (2007-2009) e Doutora em Ciências (Fitotecnia) também pela Universidade de São Paulo (ESALQ/USP) (2009-2012), com estágio Sandwich (8 meses) na University of Florida/EUA (2011). Pós-doutorado pela Universidade de São Paulo (CENA/USP) (2012-2014). MBA em Agronegócios pelo PECEGE/USP (2016). Tem experiência na área de Agronomia, com ênfase em Biotecnologia Vegetal e Melhoramento genético de Plantas, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: melhoramento genético, transformação genética, cultura de tecidos e biologia molecular de plantas. Desde 2014 é Pesquisadora na Suzano, na área de Genética e Melhoramento Genético de poliploides e de linhagens de eucalipto.

Since 2014 I am a Research Scientist, first at Fibria (until 2018) and then at Suzano, assuming complex, high-impact and risky projects in the area of Breeding and​​ Biotechnology of tree species. My academic degrees: Agronomist (Universidade Federal de Lavras - 2007), MSc (2009) and PhD (2012) in Agronomy (Plant Biotechnology - Universidade de São Paulo (ESALQ/USP)). During the development of my PhD thesis I spent 8 months at the University of Florida/USA (2011) as a visitor, developing leading research in plant biotechnology. Before hired by Fibria, I assumed a postdoctoral position at Universidade de São Paulo (CENA/USP) (2012-2014). MBA in Agribusiness (PECEGE/USP - 2016). Expertise: ​​Agronomy and Forestry, with emphasis on Plant Biotechnology and Breeding, working mainly in the following subjects: Polyploidy, Haploidy, Endogamy, Selfing, Genetic Transformation, Genome Editing, Mutagenesis, Tissue Culture and Molecular Biology.
