Adalberto José Vilela Júnior

Architect and Urban Planner graduated from the University of Brasília (2003) with a Master's degree (MArch) from the same institution (2011). Since 2018 he holds a PhD from the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture (gta) of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) sponsored by the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship program. Among the areas of interest are themes related to the construction history and building technology, with a special emphasis on the modern period. Having worked with built heritage, his research is focused on themes such as the production of architecture, building industrialization and prefabrication. Member of the research groups "Brazil, Brasilia: Chapters in the History of Architecture and Urban Planning" (FAU UnB) and "FABER - Architecture, Construction, Technology and Built Heritage" (FAUFBA), he is currently associate professor at the Faculty of Architecture Urban Planing and Design of the Federal University of Uberlândia (FAUeD UFU) in Brazil. In 2022, he was appointed Head of Laboratory of Architecture, Urban Planing and Design (LAPEx UFU). In 2017 he published his master thesis on the residential production of Lelé entitled A casa na obra de João Filgueiras Lima, Lelé (EdUnB).

Arquiteto e Urbanista pela Universidade de Brasília (2003) e Mestre em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação da FAU UnB (2011). Concluiu em 2018 o doutorado pelo Instituto de História e Teoria da Arquitetura (gta) da Escola Politécnica Federal de Zurique (ETH Zurich), com bolsa do governo suíço (Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship). Dentre as áreas de interesse, destacam-se as disciplinas de história e tecnologia da construção, com ênfase na produção moderna. Trabalhou com restauro e atualmente se dedica à pesquisa voltada para os seguintes temas: produção da arquitetura, industrialização na construção, pré-fabricação e sistemas construtivos. Desde 2007 participa do grupo de pesquisa Brasil, Brasília: Capítulos na História da Arquitetura e do Urbanismo (FAU UnB) e a partir de 2020 do grupo FABER - Arquitetura, Construção, Tecnologia e Patrimônio (FAUFBA). Atualmente integra o corpo docente da Faculdade de Arquitetura Urbanismo e Design da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (FAUeD UFU), onde coordena, desde 2022, o Laboratório de Projetos de Arquitetura Urbanismo e Design (LAPEX). Publicou em 2017 sua dissertação de mestrado intitulada A casa na obra de João Filgueiras Lima, Lelé (EdUnB).
