Cácio Ricardo Wietzycoski

Graduated in Medicine at Federal University of Rio Grande (2005) and has specialization in General Surgery at Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre (2008) and Digestive Surgery also at HCPA. MSc in Surgical Sciences, UFRGS, researching about new surgical technique for the treatment of T2DM. Fellow in the Department of Digestive Surgery HCPA carried out the Specialization Course in Minimally Invasive Surgery of the Digestive System and Morbid Obesity. Have large experience in General Surgery, Digestive, Trauma and advanced laparoscopic surgery. In 2010 completed their training through internship as a visiting surgeon in Belgium, Portugal and Spain, which had emphasis on Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery. Actually is Bariatric Surgeon and Coordinator of excellence multidisciplinary Team of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery at Unimed Vale do Cai (HUVC). Work as Proctor of bariatric surgery in a lot of hospitals in south of Brazil and is Technical Director and Head of General surgery Department at HUVC. Is member of Brazilian Society of Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery and International Fellow of American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (IFASMBS). Since last year act as a reviewer of Brazilian Arquives of Metabolic and Endocrinology.
