Rodrigo Brandão de Andrade e Silva

Rodrigo Brandão holds a master's degree in political science from USP (2011). Since 2019, he is a PhD student at USP (Department of Sociology) and an assistant researcher at C4AI - Center 4 Artificial Intelligence (a partnership among USP, IBM and FAPESP), where he investigates two topics: (i) the regulation of emerging technologies in Brazil; (ii) the impacts of these technologies on the labor market (such as the strengthening of some professions, e.g. data annotator). Before joining C4AI, he has worked as a government relations specialist at Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (one of the largest Brazilian multinational companies), as a project assistant at Fundação FHC (one of the most respected Brazilian think tanks, according to the Global Go to Think Tank Index) and as an independent consultant to different organizations, including the political party PSDB and the aluminum company Alcoa.
