Victor Haruo Matsubara

Dr Matsubara is a Prosthodontist and a researcher with a PhD and a Masters degree from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He is also a specialist in Oral Implantology with ten years of clinical experience with focus on oral rehabilitation. Acquiring national and international academic experience throughout his career, he has taught Prosthodontics at different institutions in Brazil and Australia over the past ten years, delivering lectures across different topics in oral rehabilitation and oral implantology, and supervising both undergraduate and graduate students in pre-clinical and clinical environments. As a researcher, Dr Matsubara has expertise in microbiology, animal models, cell culture studies and molecular microbiology. His major focus has been on the development of alternative treatments against oral pathogens, especially using probiotics. He is currently working at UWA Dental School as a Senior Lecturer in Restorative Dentistry.
