Berenice Santos Gonçalves

Professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. Works in the Graduate Program in Design [Masters and Doctorate] and develops research in the areas of Media and Media and Technology based on the following axes: Interaction and interface, Design of digital media and Digital educational resources in Sign Language. She is leader of the Digital Publications research group. She teaches courses in the areas of User Experience, Digital Design and Fundamentals of Color for Graduate Studies in Design. In 2023 she was Visiting Professor at the Institute of German Sign Language and Communication for the Deaf-CAPES PRINT UFSC. She holds a PhD in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina [2004], a Master's in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul [UFRGS-1997] and a Bachelor of Visual Arts [UFRGS-1990].

Atua no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Design [Mestrado e Doutorado] e desenvolve pesquisas nas linhas de Mídia e Mídia e Tecnologia a partir dos seguintes eixos: Interação e interface, Design de mídias digitais e Recursos educacionais digitais em Língua de Sinais. É líder do grupo de pesquisa Publicações digitais. Ministra disciplinas nas áreas de Experiência do usuário, Design Digital e Fundamentos da Cor para a Graduação em Design. Em 2023 foi Professora Visitante no Instituto de Língua de Sinais Alemã e Comunicação para Surdos - CAPES PRINT UFSC. Possui Doutorado em Engenharia de Produção pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina [2004], Mestrado em Artes Visuais pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul [UFRGS-1997] e Bacharelado em Artes Visuais [UFRGS-1990].
