Sofia Pereira Madeira

Pesquisadora em pós-doutoramento pelo Centro de Estudos Sociais (CES) da Universidade de Coimbra, Portugal. Doutora em Saúde Coletiva pela Universidade Federal de São Paulo/UNIFESP (2015) na área de saúde sexual e reprodutiva de mulheres indígenas com Doutorado-Sanduíche no Colégio do México/COLMEX (2012) na Cidade do México pelo Programa de Doutorado Sanduíche no Exterior (PDSE) oferecido pela CAPES. Mestre em Demografia pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas/UNICAMP (2010) na linha de Demografia de Etnias. Possui Bacharelado (2007) e Licenciatura Plena (2006) em Ciências Sociais pela Universidade Federal de Uberlândia/UFU. Integrou o grupo de pesquisa e cooperação técnica Glide@USP no Departamento de Medicina Social da Faculdade de Medicina de Ribeirão Preto (FMRP-USP) (2015-2017) e prestou consultoria para a Organização Pan Americana de Saúde (OPAS/OMS) na área de saúde da mulher (2015-2017). Atualmente é colaboradora do Projeto Equal.STEAM, um programa integrado de atração e retenção de mulheres no ensino superior em áreas tecnológicas e engenharias.

PhD in Public Health by Federal University of São Paulo/UNIFESP (2015) in sexual and reproductive health of indigenous women with a sandwich doctorate at College of Mexico/COLMEX (2012) in Mexico City through the Program for Doctoral Studies Abroad (PDSE) offered by CAPES. Master in Demography at State University of Campinas/UNICAMP (2010) in the line of Demography of Ethnicities. Bachelor?s degree in Social Sciences from Federal University of Uberlândia/UFU (2007). Joined the research and technical cooperation group Glide@USP at the Department of Social Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto/FMRP-USP (2015-2017) and provided consultancy to Pan American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) in women's health (2015-2017). Currently she is a collaborator of the Equal.STEAM Project, an integrated program to attract and retain women in higher education in technology and engineering fields.
