Fabiano Ferreira Andrade

I am an enthusiast in the search of problem solving in the area of ​​energy systems, especially the problems related to the behavior of consumer demand. I dedicated years of my training (masters and doctorate) to know techniques of artificial intelligence and data mining to better understand and predict the electricity market. At the same time, since 2005 I have been evaluating and developing R & D projects with ANEEL, keeping myself updated on what is being observed by the agents of the sector. Besides the academic profile, I try to grow in project, process and people management activities. I did this in the projects that I coordinated, in the Direction of FITEJ and in the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering of UDESC. In short, my fuel is making a difference with every new challenge!I developed my PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering at the Energy Planning Laboratory of UFSC and my graduation in Electrical Engineering at the Federal University of Uberlândia (2000). I am currently an adjunct professor in the Electrical Engineering Course at the State University of Santa Catarina (UDESC). I have experience in the area of ​​Electrical Energy Systems Planning, with emphasis on the planning of distribution and commercialization systems, working mainly on the following topics: demand behavior, load forecasting models, energy efficiency, risk analysis, reliability studies, Study of the impact of the economy and the climate on the evolution of the consumption of the different industrial segments. Among other activities, it conducts consulting for important companies in the Brazilian electricity sector.

Sou um entusiasta da busca de solução de problemas na área de sistemas de energia, em especial dos problemas relacionados ao comportamento da demanda de consumidores. Dediquei anos da minha formação (mestrado e doutorado) para conhecer técnicas de inteligência artificial e mineração de dados para entender e prever melhor o mercado de energia elétrica. Paralelamente, desde 2005 atuo avaliando e desenvolvendo projetos de P&D junto à ANEEL, mantendo-me atualizado sobre o que está sendo observado pelos agentes do setor. Além do perfil acadêmico, procuro crescer em atividades de gestão de projetos, processos e pessoas. Fiz isso nos projetos que coordenei, na Direção da FITEJ e na Chefia do Departamento de Engenharia Elétrica da UDESC. Em resumo, meu combustível é fazer a diferença a cada novo desafio! Desenvolvi meu Doutorado e Mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica no Laboratório de Planejamento Energético da UFSC e minha Graduação em Engenharia Elétrica na Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (2000). Atualmente sou professor adjunto no Curso de Engenharia Elétrica da Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina (UDESC). Tenho experiência na área de Planejamento de Sistemas de Energia Elétrica, com ênfase no planejamento de sistemas da distribuição e comercialização, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: comportamento da demanda, modelos de previsão de carga, eficiência energética, análises de riscos, estudos de confiabilidade, estudo do impacto da economia e do clima na evolução do consumo dos diferentes segmentos industriais. Entre outras atividades, realiza consultorias para importantes empresas do setor elétrico brasileiro.
