Ana Liz Garcia Alves

Graduated in Veterinary Medicine from FMVZ - USP, São Paulo, SP (1989); Residency in Large Animal Surgery (1990) at FMVZ - Unesp; Master's Degree in Medical Pathophysiology (1994) at the same institution; PhD in Medical Pathology (1998) from the Faculty of Medicine of Unesp; Professor in Large Animal Surgery after Public Tender held in 2008 by FMVZ - Unesp; Associate Professor III through Progression in the Teaching Career Plan at Unesp, obtained in 2014, by FMVZ-Unesp and Full Professor after a Public Tender by FMVZ-Unesp in 2022. He completed a 1-year Post-Doctorate at the Royal Veterinary College - University of London (2010/2011), under the supervision of Prof. Roger K W Smith, in the area of Equine Orthopedics and Regenerative Medicine. She is currently a Full Professor in Large Animal Surgery, being Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Animal Biotechnology at FMVZ ? Unesp (Capes - grade 5); Researcher at CNPq, level 1D; Teaches classes to students in the 3rd, 4th and 5th years of Veterinary Medicine and Postgraduate courses; Coordinates 5 research projects, with international collaborations; Performs University Extension work in the areas of Large Animal Clinic and Surgery (since 1992) and Regenerative Medicine (since 2005), in the form of clinical surgical care, consultation with veterinarians, theoretical-practical courses and assistance to schools in the city of Botucatu . His current research area is Orthobiological Therapy and Tissue Repair, with a focus on Veterinary Orthopedics. He is the leader of the Regenerative Therapy Research Group. She was President of the Research Commission of FMVZ - Unesp and elected Member of the Central Chamber of Research of Unesp, exercising the position of Vice-President of the Central Chamber of Research of Unesp. She is a Research Fellow at CNPq, level 2 since 2006. She has published 150 articles in specialized journals. and numerous works in annals of events. Received 8 recent awards and/or honors.

Atualmente é Professora Titular em Cirurgia de Grandes Animais, sendo Coordenadora do Programa de Pós-graduação em Biotecnologia Animal da FMVZ ? Unesp (Capes - nota 6); Pesquisadora do CNPq, nível 1D; Ministra aula aos alunos de 3o, 4o e 5o anos de graduação em Medicina Veterinária e de Pós-Graduação; Coordena 5 projetos de pesquisa, com colaborações internacionais; Realiza trabalho de Extensão Universitária nas áreas de Clínica e Cirurgia de Grandes Animais (desde 1992) e Medicina Regenerativa (desde 2005), sob a forma de atendimento clínico cirúrgico, consultoria a veterinários, cursos teóricos-práticos e assistência a escolas do município de Botucatu. Sua área de pesquisa atual é Terapia Ortobiológica e Reparação Tecidual, com enfoque em Ortopedia Veterinária. É líder do Grupo de Pesquisa em Terapia Regenerativa. Foi Presidente da Comissão de Pesquisa da FMVZ - Unesp e eleita Membro da Câmara Central de Pesquisa da Unesp, exercendo o cargo de Vice-Presidente da Câmara Central de Pesquisa da Unesp. É Bolsista Pesquisadora do CNPq, nível 2 desde 2006 e nível 1 desde 2022. Publicou 165 artigos em periódicos especializados. e inúmeros trabalhos em anais de eventos. Recebeu 8 prêmios e/ou homenagens recentes.
