José António Fonseca de Oliveira Correia

José António Fonseca de Oliveira Correia (José A.F.O. Correia), born 1984 in Peso da Régua, Portugal, is Researcher of CONSTRUCT/FEUP of the University of Porto (Portugal). Since 2018, he is a Guest Teacher at the Engineering Structures Department of the Civil Engineering and Geosciences Faculty of the Delft University of Technology (Netherlands). He was an Invited Professor at the structural mechanics' section in the Civil Engineering Department of the University of Coimbra (2016-2021). Since 2022/03, he is an Associate Professor (by invitation) at UTAD. He obtained the degrees BSc (2007) and MSc (2009) in Civil Engineering by the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. He is a specialist in steel and composite (steel and concrete) construction by the University of Coimbra in 2010. He is a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering by the University of Porto in 2015. He is co-author of more 160 scientific journal papers in the most relevant scientific journals devoted to structural integrity, fatigue and fracture of engineering materials and structures, 250 proceedings in international and national conferences, congresses and workshops, 1 book chapter about local approaches applied in the fatigue crack propagation modelling, and 1 book (Degradation Theory of Long Term Operated Materials and Structures). José António Fonseca de Oliveira Correia (José A.F.O. Correia), nasceu no ano de 1984 em Peso da Régua, Portugal, é Investigador Doutorado no CONSTRUCT/FEUP da Universidade do Porto (Portugal). Desde 2018, é Professor Convidado no Departamento de Estruturas de Engenharia da Faculdade de Engenharia Civil e Geociências da Universidade Técnica de Delft (Holanda). Ele foi Professor Auxiliar Convidado na Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade de Coimbra (2016 a 2021). Desde 2022/03, é Professor Associado Convidado na UTAD. Ele obteve os graus académicos, BSc. (2007) e MSc. (2009) em Engenharia Civil pela Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro. Ele é especialista em Construção Metálica e Mista pela Universidade de Coimbra em 2010. Ele é Ph.D. em Engenharia Civil - Estruturas pela Universidade do Porto em 2015. Ele é também autor e co-autor de mais de 160 artigos científicos nas mais relevantes revistas cientificas consagradas em engenharia de materiais e estruturas, e 250 proceedings de conferências nacionais e internacionais, congressos e workshops. É também autor de um capítulo de livro ?Fracture Mechanics? e de um livro "Degradation Theory of Long Term Operated Materials and Structures". Foi revisor de mais de 30 artigos científicos de relevantes revistas científicas. Fadiga e Fractura da ECCS, e ainda membro dos Comités Técnicos CEN TC250 SC3 WG 1-9 Fadiga e CEN TC250 SC3 WG 1-10 Fractura do Comité Europeu de Normalização (CEN). Ele é co-chair da Comissão Técnica ESIS TC12 - Segurança e Análise de Risco de Estruturas de Grande Porte e Detalhes Estruturais, e Comissão Técnica ESIS TC3 - Fadiga de Materiais e Estruturas de Engenharia. Os seus interesses de investigação são: a) Comportamento à fadiga de estruturas e materiais (aços e alumínios, ligações aparafusadas e rebitadas, reservatórios de pressão, pontes metálicas antigas, torres eólicas, estruturas offshore); b) Modelação à fadiga probabilística (incluindo avaliação estatística, efeito do tamanho, dano acumulado); c) Projecto probabilístico de elementos estruturais em vidro; d) Comportamento mecânico de materiais e estruturas em madeira (Ligações e caracterização de materiai
