Origem Camponesa (1967), Formação Técnica em Agropecuária (1985), Graduação em Agronomia (1992), Mestrado (1998) e Doutorado (2002) em Solos e Nutrição de Plantas, Pós-Doutorado em Metabolismo Agrário e Agroecologia (2020). Professor Titular da Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri (2022) em Manejo de Solos e Agroecologia.

Peasant Origin (1967), Technical Training in Agriculture (1985), Graduation in Agronomy (1992), Master (1998) and Doctorate (2002) in Soils and Plant Nutrition. He is Professor of Soil Management and Agroecology and Leader of the Center for Studies in Agroecology and Peasantry at the Federal University of Vales do Jequitinhonha and Mucuri (UFVJM). Member of the Editorial Committee of the Brazilian Association of Agroecology (ABA-Agroecology) and of the Editorial Committee of the Transition Agroecological Collection / Embrapa-ABA. Section Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Agroecology. Has experience and published work in Soil Management, Agroecology and Traditional Agricultural Systems.
