Rogerio Teixeira da Silva
Degree in Medicine from the Federal University of São Paulo (1991), Masters in Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Federal University of São Paulo (2000) and Doctorate in Sciences (PhD) at Orthopaedics and Traumatology Departament - Federal University of São Paulo (2006). Founder and President of NEO - Center for Research in Sports and Orthopedics; works as advisory board member of the Brazilian Society for Arthroscopy and Sports Traumatology (SBRATE), a non-profit medical society which he chaired in 2009 and 2010. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Sports Medicine (SBME) and Brazilian Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (SBOT), since 1996, which served as Coordinator of Institutional Relations in 2011 and managed the Fiscal Advisor Board in 2012. Founded in 1999 the Medical Department of the Brazilian Tennis Confederation, having served as his supervisor until January 2010. In the international field act as coordinator of the South American Committee of the Society for Tennis Medicine and Science, and a member of ISAKOS (International Society for Arthroscopy Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. Has a great experience in medicine with emphasis in Orthopaedics and Sports Traumatology, acting professionally in her private office in the city of São Paulo since 1999. Coordinated a team of orthopedics at Hospital Sao Luiz Morumbi Unit during the years 2010-2013. Special attention in his research is given to the study of injuries in athletes, particularly soccer, running and tennis players (amateur and professionals). Is was also a member of the open medical staff of Albert Einstein Hospital, Hospital Sao Luiz and Samaritan Hospital. At the educational field develops courses and continuing medical education projects and research in the areas of orthopedics and sports traumatology. Living now in North Reading, MA - United States
