Maria Luisa Nerys de Moraes Carneiro

Post-doctoral research on biofuels at Mechanical Engineering Dept. of PUC-Rio. Doctor (DSc) in Mechanical Engineering (2019) at Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). The final year of the doctorate was developed at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in the Mobility Program sponsored by CNPq (Sandwich-Program). MSc in Mechanical Engineering (2015) and Bachelor in Environmental Engineering (2011) at PUC-Rio. Worked as a researcher and Professor assistant between 2017 and 2018 at PUC-Rio. Develops research in energy and environment with focus on renewable energy sources (urban waste, biofuels) and natural gas, energy optimization, pollution control systems, electricity generation in hybrid power cycles fueled by municipal solid waste and natural gas. As undergraduate student (2009-2010) participated in INSA-Lyon exchange program sponsored by CAPES during 12 months in France, where also worked as an intern at Cabinet Merlin - Engineering and Consulting company in Lyon, France. Between 2011 and 2015, worked as Environmental Analyst at Vale S.A. in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where developed auditing and consulting activities regarding the company's environmental management system in Brazil and Chile. Between 2020-2021 has worked in the maritime industry, implementing control and automation systems on board vessels and oil rigs in Brazil and Mexico. Nowadays develops projects and research in the waste-to-energy field.

Pós-doutoranda na PUC-Rio, dept. de Eng. Mecânica, desenvolvimento de pesquisa em biocombustíveis. Doutora (DSc) em Engenharia mecânica, ênfase Petróleo e Energia, pela PUC-Rio (2019). Realizou doutorado-sanduíche na universidade Politecnico di Milano, em Milão (2018-2019) com bolsa CNPq. Realizou graduação-sanduíche com bolsa CAPES em Engenharia de Energia e Meio Ambiente na universidade INSA de Lyon (2009-2010), França. É graduada em engenharia ambiental (2011) e possui mestrado (MSc) em engenharia mecânica (2015) pela PUC-Rio, onde também atuou como assistente de pesquisa e docência entre 2016 e 2018. Especialista na área de energia e meio ambiente, com foco em energias renováveis (lixo urbano, biocombustíveis e gás natural), aproveitamento energético de resíduos sólidos urbanos. Atuou também na indústria, em empresas de engenharia, mineração e tecnologia marítima: Cabinet Merlin na França (2010); Vale S.A no Brasil e Chile (2011-2015) e Kongsberg Maritime Brasil e México (2020-2021). Atualmente em estágio de pós-doutorado como pesquisadora sem vínculo a universidade na área de aproveitamento energético de resíduos.
