Possui graduação em Engenharia Metalúrgica pela Universidade de São Paulo (1990), doutorado em Engenharia Metalúrgica pela Universidade de São Paulo (1998) e pós-doutorado em Engenharia Mecânica pela University of Iowa (2002). Atualmente é professor livre-docente da Universidade de São Paulo. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia de Materiais e Metalúrgica, com ênfase em Modelagem Matemática de Processos Metalúrgicos, atuando principalmente na área de solidificação de metais e ligas.
Prof. Martorano has a degree in Metalurgical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1990), Brazil, Doctorate in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1998), and a pos-doc trainning at The University of Iowa, U.S.A. (2002). At the moment he is an associate professor at the University of São Paulo and has experience in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering. His teaching and research work is focused on mathematical modeling of metalurgical and materials processing, especially solidification processes.
