Heloísa Garcia Claro Fernandes

Bachelor of Science in Nursing by the University of São Paulo (2008), Graduated in Teaching Degree in Nursing from the University of São Paulo (2010), Master of Science (PPGE by the School of Nursing at the University of São Paulo 2010), Ph.D. in science (PPGE by the University of Nursing School of São Paulo 2015). During her doctorate, she did an international internship as a research visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and the Lighthouse Insitute, Chestnut Health Systems (2012). She concluded two post-doctorates, the first in sciences (2017) at the University of São Paulo School of Nursing and the second in Epidemiology (2020) at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. She is a Ph.D. level professor, MS3 category, at the Faculty of Nursing of the State University of Campinas-UNICAMP. His topics of interest are Epidemiology, Mental Health, Mental Health in Primary Care, Motivational Interviewing, Alcohol, and Other Drugs, Depression, mHealth, Health Technologies, and Clinical Research. She has been a Member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers-MINT since 2015, where she is a member of the Professional Development Committee, with researchers from all over the world. She is a member of the International Nurses Society on Addictions and is president of the Brazilian chapter. Leader of the Interdisciplinary Research Core Group for Epidemiological Studies on Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs - NIESMAD, in co-leadership with Ph.D. Gabriella Andrade Boska and the Study Group on Alcohol and Other Drugs, co-leadership with Ph.D. Márcia Aparecida Ferreira de Oliveira. Member of the Latin America Treatment and Innovation Network - LATIN-MH, based at USP Medical School - Department of Preventive Medicine. In addition, she is a research member of the Population Mental Health Research Support Center. She was on maternity leave between 08/27/2016 to 02/27/2016, 02/01/2019 to 07/02/2019, and currently from 27/03/2022 to 22/09/2022

Seus temas de interesse são: Epidemiologia, Saúde Mental, Saúde Mental na Atenção Básica, Entrevista Motivacional, Álcool e outras Drogas, Depressão, mHealth, tecnologias em saúde, Pesquisa Clínica. É Membro da Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers - MINT desde 2015, onde faz parte do Comitê de Professional Development, com participação de pesquisadores do mundo todo. É membro da International Nurses Society on Addictions, e é presidente do capítulo brasileiro dessa sociedade. Líder do Grupo Núcleo Interdisciplinar de Estudos Epidemiológicos em Saúde Mental, Álcool e outras Drogas - NIESMAD, em co-liderança com Profa. Dra. Gabriella Andrade Boska e do Grupo de Estudos em Álcool e outras Drogas, em co-liderança com Profa. Dra. Márcia Aparecida Ferreira de Oliveira. Membro do Latin America Treatment and Innovation Network - LATIN-MH, sediado na Faculdade de Medicina da USP - Departamento de Medicina Preventiva. Além disso, é membro pesquisadora do Núcleo de Apoio à Pesquisa em Saúde Mental Populacional.
