Roberto Vecchi

Roberto Vecchi is a Full Professor at the University of Bologna, where he teaches Portuguese and Brazilian Literature since 1993. He is currently the President of the International Association of Lusitanists (AIL) since 2014. He is professor at the PhD Program in Global Studies at UNIBO teaching Portuguese and Brazilian Studies. He was Head of the Department of Languages, Literatures and Modern Cultures (2015-2018), where he is currently coordinator of the Eduardo Lourenço Chair and the scientific coordinator of the Department. In Brazil, he is a CNPq researcher and in Portugal he is an associate researcher at the Center for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra where he collaborates with research and doctoral programs, particularly on Portuguese Influence Heritage, He is an associate researcher of the Center for Comparative Studies of the University of Lisbon, ELAB, the Laboratory of Advanced Literary Studies of the New University of Lisbon. He was (2013-2018) Honorary Professor in Lusophone Studies at the School of Cultures, Languages ​​and Area Studies of the University of Nottingham. He has been a visiting professor in several Brazilian and Portuguese universities and has taught in Italy also in the Universities of Venice, Parma and Milan. He is the author of more than 220 scientific publications dedicated, in particular, to the history and theory of Portuguese-speaking cultures.

Roberto Vecchi é Professor Titular na Universidade de Bolonha, onde ensina Literatura Portuguesa e Brasileira desde 1993. É Presidente da Associação Internacional de Lusitanistas (AIL) desde 2014. É professor do Programa de Doutorado em Global Studies da UNIBO onde leciona Estudos Portugueses e Brasileiros. Foi diretor do departamento de Línguas, Literaturas e Culturas Modernas (2015-2018), onde atualmente é coordenador da Cátedra Eduardo Lourenço e coordenador científico do Departamento. No Brasil, é pesquisador CNPq e em Portugal é investigador associado do Centro de Estudos Sociais (CES) da Universidade de Coimbra onde colabora com programas de pesquisa e de doutoramento, em particular sobre o pós-colonialismo português e a guerra colonial, é investigador associado do Centro de Estudos Comparatistas da Universidade de Lisboa, do ELAB, o Laboratório de Estudos Literários Avançados da Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Foi (2013-2018) Honorary Professor in Lusophone Studies na School of Cultures, Languages and Area Studies da Universidade de Nottingham. Foi professor visitante em várias universidades brasileiras e portuguesas e lecionou na Itália também nas Universidades de Veneza, Parma e Milão. É autor de mais de mais de 220 publicações científicas dedicadas, em particular, à história e à teoria das culturas de língua portuguesa.
