Profa. Dra. Zeny Rosendahl

Collaborating Professor of the Post-Graduate Program in Geography - PPGEO/UERJ; Graduated in geography (UERJ), Master's degree (UERJ) and PhD in geography at the University of São Paulo - USP (1994), Post-doctorate degree at the Sorbonne University - París IV (1997) - France. He founded the Extension Program in Advanced Studies in Geography, Religion and Culture (PEAGERC), the Center for Studies and Research on Space and Culture (NEPEC) and the periodical Space and Culture (B1) at UERJ. Since 1994, he has been continuously engaged in research in Geography, with emphasis on Cultural Geography, working mainly on religion in the following themes: diffusion and coverage area of faith; territory and religious territoriality; sacred space and place: perception and symbolism; sanctuary cities and/or hieropolis; religion, hypermodernity and cyberspace. Develops research on the religious strategy of the Catholic Church in Brazil from 1500 to the present day; the spatial dynamics of faith in hypermodernity; gender, religion and space and; religious (in)tolerance, aiming for greater conceptual and empirical deepening, through the marks and matrices of ethnic-religious behaviors in the context, space and time, of world-culture. Professora Colaboradora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Geografia - PPGEO/UERJ; Possui graduação em geografia (UERJ), tem os graus de Mestre (UERJ) e Doutorado em geografia pela Universidade de São Paulo - USP (1994), Pós-doutorado pela Universidade Sorbonne - París IV (1997) - França. Fundou o Programa de Extensão em Estudos Avançados em Geografia, Religião e Cultura (PEAGERC), o Núcleo de Estudos e Pesquisas sobre Espaço e Cultura (NEPEC) e o Periódico Espaço e Cultura (B1) na UERJ. Tem atuação de pesquisa contínua, desde 1994, na área de Geografia, com ênfase em Geografia Cultural, atuando principalmente na temática da religião nos seguintes temas: difusão e área de abrangência da fé; território e territorialidade religiosa; espaço e lugar sagrado: percepção e simbolismo; cidades-santuário e/ou hierópolis; religião, hipermodernidade e ciberespaço. Desenvolve pesquisas sobre a estratégia religiosa da Igreja Católica no Brasil de 1500 aos dias atuais; a dinâmica espacial da fé na hipermodernidade; gênero, religião e espaço e; (in)tolerância religiosa, visando maior aprofundamento conceitual e empírico, através das marcas e matrizes dos comportamentos étnico-religiosos no contexto, espaço e tempo, da cultura-mundo.
