Alexandre Siciliano Colafranceschi

Graduated in Medicine (magna cum laude) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1996). He attended medical residency in internal medicine and cardiology (UFRJ), general surgery (UERJ) and cardiovascular surgery (INC). "Clinical Fellowship in cardiovascular and endovascular surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, USA (2001-2003/2008). Doctor of Science from the University of Sao Paulo (2008). He was head of the Division of Surgical Procedures of the National Institute of Cardiology, Rio de Janeiro, from December 2007 to November 2011. Member of the Brazilian Society of Cardiovascular Surgery and Brazilian Society of Cardiology, has experience in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases in adults, working mainly in the following areas: heart failure and mechanical circulatory support, cardiac transplantation, minimally invasive and video-assisted surgery, endovascular treatment of aortic diseases and its branches; surgery of mitral and aortic valves, surgical treatment of atrial fibrillation and hybrid procedures, including transcatheter aortic valve replacement and mitral clip valvuloplasthy. Special interest in quality and safety of care. Master in Health Care Management from Harvard School of Public Health.
