Monira Samaan Kallás

Dentist graduated from UNIP in 1998. Specialist in Social Dentistry from the Faculty of Dentistry of USP in 2004 and Master in Dentistry and Social Sciences in 2009, also from USP. Qualified in Hospital Dentistry by the Federal Council of Dentistry in 2017 and PhD in Health Sciences by the Teaching and Research Institute of Hospital Sírio Libanês (2019) with the study: Assessment of oral changes and modification of the oral microbiome in patients admitted to the Therapy Unit Intensive Care at Hospital Sírio Libanês. She worked in dentistry and palliative care for eight years at Premier hospital (2008-2016). She is currently a clinical dentist at NAGe (Advanced Geriatrics Center) at Hospital Sírio Libanês and coordinator of the Dentistry and Gerontology course: intersections in the care of the elderly, at the Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa do Hospital Sirio Libanês, in SP. At the same institution, she is a professor in Dentistry and Gerontology in the Specialization Course in Geriatrics and Improvement in Gerontology and Entrepreneurship. She is also a professor in Geriatric Dentistry in the postgraduate course in Hospital Dentistry at Hospital Albert Einstein (SP and BH units). She is a member of the Dentistry department at ABRALE and a partner at SBGG.

Sou cirurgiã-dentista, formada pela Universidade Paulista (UNIP), em 1998. Atualmente sou dentista clínica no NAGe (Núcleo Avançado de Geriatria) do Hospital Sírio Libanês (HSL) e coordeno dois cursos no Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa do Hospital Sirio Libanês (IEP - HSL), em São Paulo (Odontologia e Gerontologia: interssecções no cuidado ao idoso e Faramacologia, Geronto e Odonto). Também no IEP - HSL, sou docente no curso Especialização de Geriatria e também no curso de Aperfeiçoamento em Gerontologia e Empreendedorismo. Sou docente em Odontologia e Gerontologia no curso de pós graduação em Odontologia Hospitalar do Hospital Albert Eistein (unidades SP e BH) d sou membro do departamento de Odontologia da ABRALE e sócia da Sociedade Brasileira de Geriatria e Gerontologia. FORMAÇÃO ACADÊMICA: Pela Faculdade de Odontologia da USP (São Paulo) sou especialista em Odontologia Social (2004) e mestre em Odontologia e Ciências Sociais(2009). Pela Sociedade Brasileira de Geriatria e Gerontologia (SBGG) sou especialista em Gerontologia (2023). Habilitada em Odontologia Hospitalar pelo Conselho Federal de Odontologia em 2017. Doutora em Ciências da Saúde pelo Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa do Hospital Sírio Libanês (2019). Atuei com assistência, ensino e pesquisa em odontologia e cuidados paliativos por oito anos no hospital Premier (2008-2016).
