Acácio Silva Neto

Acácio Silva Neto was born in Ribeirão Preto, Brazil, in 1977. He graduated in Electrical Engineering from the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) in 2000 and obtained a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP) in 2004. In 2012 he received the Ph.D. degree in Science from USP. He joined the University of São Paulo in 2001 as a researcher at the Lightning and High Voltage Center (CENDAT) of the Institute of Energy and Environment (IEE/USP). His interests involve the effects of lightning strikes on electrical systems, lightning protection and lightning attachment processes.

Possui graduação em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2000), mestrado em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade de São Paulo (2004) e doutorado em Ciências pelo Programa Interunidades de Pós-Graduação em Energia pela Universidade de São Paulo (2012). Atualmente é funcionário da Universidade de São Paulo. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Elétrica, com ênfase em Proteção de Sistemas Elétricos Face a Descargas Atmosféricas, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: descargas atmosféricas, tensões induzidas, linhas de distribuição, fec e dec.
