Doutor em Psicofarmacologia pela UFSC (2010), tendo atuado como Pesquisador Visitante no Instituto Max Planck de Psiquiatria, Alemanha (2008). Foi Diretor de Inovação da empresa Trial Pharma Ensaios Pré-Clínicos (2010-2011) e Pesquisador Científico do Instituto D'Or de Pesquisa e Ensino (IDOR) (2011-2015). Fundador da start-up de tecnologia e design de informação científica Mind the Graph (2015-atual).
Participa dos comitês científicos da SBFTE e SBPC, além de contribuir como revisor científico de mais de 15 periódicos internacionais e ser editor de área do American Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology. Como destaques da carreira, recebeu prêmios da SBFTE e SBPC, além de palestrar na Gordon Research Conference, International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS) e no CannMed - Harvard Medical School. Ex-diretor Científico da Entourage Phytolab (2015 a 2018), onde atuou liderando o desenvolvimento de medicamentos à base de Cannabis. Atualmente liderando startup de tecnologia (mindthegraph.com) e atuando como consultor para empresas que desenvolvem produtos à base de Cannabis. Co-fundador da startup focado em diagnósticos voltados so sistema endocanabinoide - Proprium Health, Technology and Science e do Instituto Phaneros, instituição sem fins lucrativos pioneira no Brasil ao desenvolver a Psicoterapia Assistida por Psicodélicos (PAP). Atua como mentor de startups de biotecnologia e é Membro do Conselho Deliberativo do CNPQ desde 2018.
Pharmacist and Psychopharmacologist (PhD) specialized in the modulation of the endocannabinoid system and therapeutic potential of Cannabis, with 15 years of experience in Science and technological businesses. His career path includes a position as Guest Researcher in the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry (Germany) and as Life Science Specialist in Lionbridge (USA). International speaker with participations in the Gordon Research Conference, International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS), TedX, SxSw and CannMed in the Harvard Medical School. On top of this significant scientific career, he has relevant entrepreneurship experience, having founded 2 tech-startups and served as mentor for a number of other startups.His major scientific contribution so far has been published in theProceedings of the National Academy of Science (PNAS) and highlighted as a promising medical product in Nature Reviews Drug Discovery. As a following step in the research, he?s working on a diagnostic tool for the endocannabinoid deficiency syndrome in Alzheimer?s disease. His last position was R&D Director of Entourage Phytolab, a pharmaceutical startup company dedicated to the development of Cannabis-based medicines for unmet medical needs. The company was pioneer in the field in Brazil and Pamplona was the technical responsible for the first-ever bulk importation of Cannabis plant material to the country. The R&D team of the startup worked under his leadership to develop methods, processes and products.
