Letícia Tiburcio Ferreira

Bacharela em Biotecnologia pela Universidade Federal de Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG). Como aluna de Iniciação Científica, foi bolsista CAPES pelo Programa Jovens Talentos para a Ciência, quando adquiriu experiência em estresse oxidativo e genotoxicidade. Foi também bolsista CAPES de mobilidade acadêmica pelo Programa Ciência Sem Fronteiras, no qual estudou Biotecnologia na University of California, em Irvine/CA (EUA) e realizou estágio na College of Agriculture and Life Sciences da Texas A&M University, em College Station/TX |(EUA). Tem mestrado pelo programa de Pós-Graduação em Genética e Biologia Molecular da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) e atualmente é aluna de doutorado pelo mesmo programa. A linha de pesquisa investiga o descobrimento de novos fármacos antimaláricos a partir de estratégias in silico e modelos experimentais in vitro e in vivo.

Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Alfenas (UNIFAL-MG). As a student of Scientific Initiation, she was a CAPES Scholar for the Young Talents for Science Program, when she acquired experience in oxidative stress and genotoxicity. She was also a CAPES Scholar for academic mobility in the Science without Borders Program, when she studied Biotechnology at the University of California at Irvine/CA (USA) and was a trainee at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Texas A & M University in College Station/TX (USA). She has a master's degree from the Graduate Program in Genetics and Molecular Biology at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and is currently a PhD student in the same program. The research line investigates the discovery of new antimalarial drugs from in silico strategies and in vitro and in vivo experimental models.
