Simone Silveira Amorim

Simone Amorim is a PPG I Professor at Tiradentes University/UNIT in the Graduate Program in Education (GPE/ Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação - PPED) and was Coordinator of the GPE/ PPED/UNIT. She is a researcher at ITP/SE, at Tiradentes Institute/Boston, and at Tiradentes Observatory of Education. She has Post-doctorate in Education from University of Massachusetts Boston/UMass Boston (2018) under the supervision of Ph.D. Felicia Wilczensk and a Doctorate in Education from the Federal University of Sergipe (2012) and Masters in Education (2006) from the same institution. She is the the Sicentific Board - PIBIC (Unit) since 2015). She was the head of PPED/Uit (2014-2015). She was the Coordinator of the Professional Development Department [Núcleo de Desenvolvimento Docente (NDD)] at Grupo Tiradentes, she was the head of the Professional Development Program - PFCP (2018-2020), and the head of the Professional Development in the Digital Era - PFDED (2020-2023). Associated with the Brazilian Society of History of Education (SBHE) and the Comparative and International Education Society, is the leader of the Education and Society Research Group: subjects and educational practices. She is a member of the Nucleus of Studies of Culture of UFS / NECUFS and of Tiradentes Education Observatory (OBET). She has a graduate degree in Linguistics Applied to Language Teaching, also at the Federal University of Sergipe (2008). She has experience in Education, with an emphasis in History of Education and teacher training, working mainly in the following subjects: History of Education, biography, 19th century, teacher education, comparative education.

Simone Silveira Amorim é docente e pesquisadora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação da Universidade Tiradentes/UNIT, em Sergipe. Pesquisadora do ITP/SE e do Tiradentes Institute/Boston. Tem Pós-doutorado em educação (2018), sob a supervisão da Profa. Dra. Felicia Wilczenski, na University of Massachusetts, Boston. É Doutora em Educação pela Universidade Federal de Sergipe (2012) e Mestre em Educação (2006) pela mesma instituição. É pós-graduada em Linguística Aplicada ao Ensino de Línguas, também pela Universidade Federal de Sergipe (2008). Foi coordenadora do PPED/Unit (2014-2015). Membro do Comitê Científico - PIBIC - da Unit (desde 2015). Foi Coordenadora do Núcleo de Desenvolvimento Docente (NDD) do Grupo Tiradentes (GT), de 2019 a 2023, coordenou o Programa de Formação Continuada de Professores (PFDED), de 2018 a 2020, do Grupo Tiradentes; e o Programa de Formação Docente na Era Digital (PFDED) do Grupo Tiradentes (2020-2023). É associada à Sociedade Brasileira de História da Educação (SBHE) e à Comparative and International Education Society. É líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Educação e Sociedade: sujeitos e práticas educativas, integra o Núcleo de Estudos de Cultura da UFS/NECUFS e o Observatório de Educação Tiradentes (OBET). Tem experiência na área de Educação, com ênfase em História da Educação e formação de professores, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: formação e profissionalização docente, estudos biográficos, século XIX, educação comparada.
