EDEILSON MILHOMEM DA SILVA

Bacharel em Sistemas de Informação pelo Centro Universitário Luterano de Palmas. Mestre e Doutor em Ciência da Computação pelo Centro de Informática - Universidade Federal de Pernambuco. Foi colaborador ad hoc do C.E.S.A.R. (Centro de Estudos e Sistemas Avançados do Recife) onde atuava em pesquisas voltadas para Gestão de Conhecimento em Plataformas Sociais. É um dos autores do livro Sistemas Colaborativos, projetado pela SBC para ser o livro referência da área, que recebeu destaque nacional ao ser contemplado com o 3º lugar no Prêmio Jabuti 2012 (Categoria: Tecnologia e Informática). Foi professor do Centro Universitário Luterano de Palmas ? ULBRA/Palmas durante aproximadamente uma década e membro de Comissão Assessora de Área do INEP (Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira) durante 6 anos. Atualmente é professor adjunto da Universidade Federal do Tocantins, no curso de Ciência da Computação e no Mestrado Profissional em Inovação Tecnológica (Profnit); é líder do grupo de pesquisa Análises Inteligentes de Dados e desenvolve pesquisas integradas ao grupo de pesquisa Engenharia Inteligente de Dados do CEULP e ao Centro de Informática/UFPE.

Edeilson Milhomem da Silva M.S. Ph.D. has been a professor of Software Engineering at the Federal University of Tocantins since 2017. Da Silva teaches undergraduate courses in Computer Science and graduate courses in an Innovation, Intellectual Property and Technological Transfer Program at the University Federal of Tocantins. Da Silva earned his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University Federal of Pernambuco, Brazil, and his B.S. in Information Systems at the Lutheran University Center of Palmas, State of Tocantins. Da Silva was an ad hoc worker at the Recife Center for Advanced Studies and Systems leading research on the development of new methods, techniques, and technologies in Knowledge management and Social Networks. Da Silva is a co-author of the book ?Collaborative Systems?, which won a third-place award in the Jabuti Premium in 2012, in the category ?Informatics?. He was a high school professor at the Lutheran University Center of Palmas during eight years ? from 2009 to 2017. During his tenure as a high school teacher, Da Silva was a member of the INEP Area Advisory Committee of the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research "Anísio Teixeira" for 6 years from 2011-2017. More recently, Da Silva is a leader of the EPIC community, which promotes excellence in collaborative learning. He focuses on research projects on Information Retrieval, Recommender Systems, Collaborative Systems, and Social Networks. Da Silva is also the leader of the Data Intelligent Analysis Research Group and a contributor to advanced research projects for the Data Intelligent Engineering Research Group of the Lutheran University Center of Palmas and to the Informatics Center of the Federal University of Pernambuco.
