Prof. Dr. Fabio Rueda Faucz

O Professor Fábio Rueda Faucz possui Pós-Doutorado Pelo Instituto Eunice Kennedy Shriver - National Institute of Child Health & Human Development (NICHD) - National Institutes of Health (NIH) Bethesda - USA, onde desenvolveu trabalhos relacionados a Genética do Câncer (2008/2009); possui doutorado em Genética pela Universidade Federal do Paraná, sendo que parte do trabalho foi desenvolvido no Institut de Recerca Oncologica - Lospitallet de Lobregat, Barcelona - Espanha (2003), mestrado em Biologia pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (1997), graduação em Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (1993) e graduação em Administração Com Habilitação em Comércio Exterior pelo Centro Universitário Positivo (2001). De 2010 a 2012 foi Coordenador do Núcleo de Biotecnologia da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUCPR), sendo também neste período membro do Comitê Gestor de Iniciação Científica e representante da Área de Inovação e Tecnologia da mesma. Atualmente é professor Titular licenciado da PUCPR e pesquisador do National Institutes of Health (NIH - EUA). Também é Diretor Científico/Qualidade da CRYOGENE - Criogenia Biológica Ltda. Tem experiência na área de Genética, com ênfase em Genética Humana e Médica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: variabilidade genética, análise molecular, genética do Câncer e genética de populações em genes relacionado a doenças humanas.

Professor Fábio Rueda Faucz holds a postdoctoral fellowship at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver Institute (NIH) Bethesda, USA, where he has developed works related to Cancer Genetics (2008/2009 ); PhD in Genetics from the Federal University of Paraná, where part of the work was developed at the Institut de Recerca Oncologica - Lospitallet de Lobregat, Barcelona - Spain (2003), Masters in Biology by the Federal University of Paraná (1997), Biological Sciences degree by the Federal University of Paraná (1993) and a degree in Administration with Qualification in Foreign Trade by the Positivo University Center (2001). From 2010 to 2012 he was Coordinator of the Biotechnology Nucleus of the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR). In this period he was also a member of the Scientific Initiation Steering Committee and representative of the Innovation and Technology Area of ​​the same. He is currently a Licensed Full Professor at PUCPR and a researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He is also Scientific / Quality Director of CRYOGENE - Criogenia Biológica Ltda. He has experience in Genetics, with emphasis on Human and Medical Genetics, working mainly on the following topics: genetic variability, molecular analysis, genetics of Cancer and genetics of populations in genes related to human diseases.
