Jason Phipps Morgan

Jason Phipps Morgan is a Physicist (Brown University - 1981), with a PhD in Geophysics from Brown University -1985. He worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Royal Holloway University of London, Cornell University, Kiel University and other institutions. Deep experience in teaching and research in the areas of Geodynamics and Geophysics with an emphasis on Geodynamics in oceanic regions. He is currently Full Professor in the Department of Ocean Science and Engineering at SUSTech, in China. Editor of Terra Nova magazines, 1997-today; Frontiers in Earth Science, 2013-present; Geology, 1996-1998; JGR, 1992-1995. He was recognized with the following honors: Cecil and Ida Green Scholar (1985); James B. Macelwane Award, AGU (1995); Professeur, College de France (1996); Royal Society Wolfson Foundation Merit Award (2013); A.E.H. Love Award, EGU (2016); Fellow, American Geophysical Union (1995).
