I am a biologist with a PhD in Ecology & Evolution. In my research, I use mathematical models to understand the drivers of species distribution at landscape, regional and global scales. Currently, my main goal is to understand the redistribution of biodiversity in the Anthropocene. Specifically, I combine elements of natural history to climate-based modelling applied at the preservation of the functioning of hyper-diverse ecosystems. Being a conservation biogeographer experienced in the study of biotic interactions, I develop innovative approaches to tackle the current biodiversity crisis from the macroecological perspective of ecosystem functioning.

Sou doutora em Ecologia e Evolução pela Universidade Federal de Goiás. Meu foco de pesquisa é a redistribuição da biodiversidade em resposta às mudanças globais (clima e uso do solo, em especial), suas causas e consequências para a conservação das espécies, interações bióticas e serviços ecossistêmicos associados. Combinando história natural a modelos quantitativos, eu desenvolvo abordagens inovadoras para solucionar a crise de biodiversidade global, através da perspectiva macroecológica do funcionamento dos ecossistemas, em especial os tropicais e megadiversos.
