Luís Felipe Machado do Nascimento

Full Professor at the Department of Administrative Sciences at UFRGS since 2015.Education: Holds a degree in Electrical Engineering (1985) and a master's degree in Production Engineering (1989), both from the Federal University of Santa Maria. Completed a Ph.D. in Economics and Environment (1995) from Kassel University, Germany. In 2002-2003, conducted the first postdoctoral research at the University of Massachusetts, and in 2018/2019, completed the second postdoctoral research at UCSB - University of California Santa Barbara, both in the United States. In 2003, attended the Colloquium on Participant-Centered Learning at Harvard Business School (USA).Research interests: Sustainability in organizations, sustainability education, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) issues.Awards received: In 2004, received the South American Academic Award in Business Sustainability in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2005, awarded the International Faculty Pioneer Award by the World Resources Institute and The Aspen Institute in New York, USA. In 2008, received the "The Best Paper" trophy at the 17th International Conference on Management of Technology (IAMOT 2008) held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In 2010, awarded the "Education for Sustainability" prize by the Ecofuturo Institute. In 2020, received the CAPES Thesis Award.Publications: Author of 60 articles published in journals and over a hundred articles published in conference proceedings.Indexing and citations: Web of Science: H-Index = 6, 23 articles, and 311 citations.
