Carolina Alves is a Joan Robinson Research Fellow in Heterodox Economics at the University of Cambridge, Girton College. She specialises in international macro-finance, Marxian economics, development, political economy of money and finance, and issues of decolonisation in economics. Carolina is currently part of the Cambridge Social Ontology Group, and the Alternative Approaches to Economics Research Group ? Faculty of Economics, Cambridge. She is the co-founder of initiative Diversifying and Decolonising Economics and co-editor of The Developing Economics blog and of The D-Econ blog. She sits on the Rebuilding Macroeconomics Advisory Board, the Progressive Economy Forum Council and the Positive Money Advisory Panel.
