Carlos Subuhana

Carlos Subuhana, a Mozambican national, completed a degree in Social Sciences at the Institute of Philosophy and Social Sciences (IFCS) of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1997. He obtained a Master's degree in Sociology (with concentration in Anthropology) in the same institution in 2001, under the guidance of Marco Antonio Gonçalves. Her doctorate was held in the Graduate Program in Social Work of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 2005, under the guidance of the anthropologist Myriam Moraes Lins de Barros. In 2007 he completed a post-doctoral training in Anthropology at the University of São Paulo (USP), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kabengele Munanga. He is an effective professor (Associate Professor C - II) of the Institute of Humanities - IH / UNILAB. He is head of the Reception and Monitoring Section (SAA), linked to the Selection, Reception and Monitoring Coordination (CSAA), of the Pro-Rectorate of Institutional Relations (PROINST / UNILAB). He is a Researcher at the Casa das Áfricas (Cultural Institute, Training and Studies on African Societies - São Paulo). He was a Fellow of Regional Scientific and Technological Development (DCR) B (FUNCAP / CNPQ) at the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusophony - UNILAB, and was a Foreign Visiting Professor at UNILAB. He was Associate Researcher at the Center for Logic, Epistemology and History of Science (CLE / UNICAMP). He was Coordinator of Affirmative Policies of the Pro-Rector of Affirmative and Student Policies (COPAF / PROPAE / UNILAB). In his curriculum the most frequent terms in the contextualization of the scientific, technological and artistic-cultural production are Anthropology, Sociology and Social Service, acting mainly in the following subjects: anthropology of Afro-Brazilian populations, African studies, ritual and their symbolisms, migration, international relations.

Carlos Subuhana, de nacionalidade moçambicana, concluiu o curso de graduação em Ciências Sociais no Instituto de Filosofia e Ciências Sociais (IFCS) da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) em 1997. Em 2007 terminou um estágio de pós-doutoramento em Antropologia na Universidade de São Paulo (USP), sob a supervisão do Prof. Dr. Kabengele Munanga. Em 2016 terminou um estágio de pós-doutoramento no Centro de Lógica, Epistemologia e História da Ciência (Cátedra UNESCO Multilinguismo e Produção de Conteúdo em Língua Portuguesa no Mundo Digital) na Universidade Estadual de Campinas, sob a supervisão da Profa. Dra. Cláudia Marinho Wanderley. É quadro efetivo (Professor Adjunto C - 2) do Instituto de Humanidades - IH/UNILAB. É chefe da Seção de Acolhimento e Acompanhamento (SAA), vinculada à Coordenação de Seleção, Acolhimento e Acompanhamento (CSAA), da Pró-Reitoria de Relações Institucionais (PROINST/UNILAB). É Pesquisador da Casa das Áfricas (Instituto cultural, de formação e de estudos sobre sociedades africanas - São Paulo). Foi Bolsista de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico Regional (DCR) B (FUNCAP / CNPQ) na Universidade da Integração Internacional da Lusofonia Afro-Brasileira - UNILAB, e foi Professor Visitante Estrangeiro na UNILAB. Foi Coordenador de Políticas Afirmativas da Pró-Reitoria de Políticas Afirmativas e Estudantis (COPAF/PROPAE/UNILAB), foi Pesquisador Associado do Centro de Lógica, Epistemologia e História da Ciência (CLE/UNICAMP). Em seu currículo os termos mais frequentes na contextualização da produção científica, tecnológica e artístico-cultural são Antropologia, Sociologia e Serviço Social, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: antropologia das populações afro-brasileiras, estudos africanos, ritual e seus simbolismos, políticas públicas, migração, relações internacionais.
