Dr. em Produção Vegetal, na linha de pesquisa em biotecnologia e ecofisiologia no desenvolvimento de plantas pela Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo, Centro de Ciências Agrárias e Engenharias. Mestre em Produção Vegetal pela Universidade Estadual de Goiás, Ipameri. Engenheiro agrônomo, formado pela Universidade Estadual de Goiás, Palmeiras de Goiás. Atua na área de Fitotecnia com ênfase em Produção de Mudas, Manejo e Tratos Culturais e Melhoramento Vegetal; na área de Biotecnologia Vegetal com ênfase em Cultura de Tecidos Vegetais, Melhoramento de Plantas e Conservação e Multiplicação de Germoplasma; e também na área de Genética Vegetal com ênfase em Mutagênese, Ensaio Cometa, Citogenética e Citometria de Fluxo.

He works in the area of Phytotechnics with an emphasis on Seedling Production, Management and Cultural Treatments and Plant Breeding; in the area of Plant Biotechnology with an emphasis on Plant Tissue Culture, Plant Breeding and Germplasm Conservation and Multiplication; and also in the field of Plant Genetics with an emphasis on Mutagenesis, Cytogenetics and Flow Cytometry.
