Thomas Puettker

After graduation and Ms at the Universities of Mainz and Kiel, I achieved my PhD in Zoology at he University of Hamburg (Germany) in 2007. Currently I am an assistent professor at the Universidade Federal de São Paulo. In general, I am interested in the effects of different anthorpogenic land uses on the the ditribution of species. I am experienced in Ecology, acting primarily in the following areas: Community Ecology, Population Ecology, Landscape, Ecology, effects of habitat loss and -fragmentation. Possuí graduação em Biologia - Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (1997), mestrado em Zoologia e Ecologia - Christian-Albrechts-Universität Kiel (2002) e doutorado em Zoologia pela Universidade de Hamburgo (2007). Atualmente sou professor adjunto da Universidade Federal de São Paulo. Em termos gerais, estou interessado nos efeitos de diferentes usos antropogênicos da terra sobre a distribuição de espécies. Tenho experiência na área de Ecologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: ecologia de comunidades, ecologia de populações, ecologia de paisagens, efeitos de perda e fragmentação de habitat.
