Lucila Piasecki

Dr Piasecki is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Endodontics at the Universisty at Buffalo in New York, USA.She graduated in Dentistry from the State University of West Parana, Cascavel, Brazil (2003) and in the same institution completed the Specialization in Endodontics (2005). She obtained the Master's of Science degree (2011) and Ph.D.(2014) in Endodontics at the Pontifical Catholic University PUCPR, Curitiba, Brazil. Dr. Piasecki practiced as a general dentist (2003-2008) and after 2009 her private practice was limited to Endodontics. She joined the academic career asa part-time faculty at the Paranaense University in 2008 and later in 2010 became a full-time professor and head of Endodontics Department, being also involved in social work and academic research in this institution until 2015. She was also an invited professor in thePost-Graduation in Endodontics of theState University of West Parana,Cascavel, Brazil(2009-2016) and as a part-time faculty of Endodonticsat the Pontifical Catholic University PUCPR, Curitiba, Brazil (2013-2015). In 2015 she was awarded a research fellowship at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, and later in 2016 became a full-time faculty at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Dr. Piasecki is a member of the AmericanAssociation of Endodontics,the BrazilianSociety of Endodontics and Brazilian Association of Dentists. She has contributed as a reviewer for scientific journals, academic boards, and as an evaluator of research presentations in scientific congresses. She has lectured in events in Brazil and Poland and has attended more than 50 scientific events, many of them as a presenter. In 2015 she was the president of the International Congress of Odontology of West Paraná, Cascavel, Brazil. She has published numerous articles in peer-reviewedjournals and is currently involved in laboratory and clinical research as well in the development of technologies in Endodontics.
