Vitor Hugo Gomes Lacerda Cavalcante

He holds a degree in Biology from the Federal University of Piauí, a Master's in Development and Environment from the Prodema Tropen/UFPI/DAAD Network (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst - German Academic Intercâmb Service) and a Doctorate in Ecology from the University of Brasília. He is Professor DE at the Federal Institute of Piauí. He has been working in the Biology Teaching area since 2002, giving classes for High School, Technical, Higher Biology Courses, Environmental Management and Specializations in Biology and Geoprocessing Teaching. He participates in research and extension projects at IFPI, UnB and UFPB. He has experience in the field of Ecology, Zoology and Environment with an emphasis on Herpetology, working mainly on the following topics: ecology, lizards, snakes, cerrado and the environment. Currently, he is mainly engaged in the development of models for the effects of climate change and the risk of extinction of biodiversity in Brazil.

Possui Licenciatura em Biologia, pela Universidade Federal do Piauí, Mestrado em Desenvolvimento e Meio Ambiente pela Rede Prodema Tropen/UFPI/DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst - Serviço Alemão Intercâmb Acadêmico) e Doutorado em Ecologia pela Universidade de Brasília. É Professor DE do Instituto Federal do Piauí. Atua na área de Ensino de Biologia desde 2002, ministrando aulas para o Ensino Médio, Técnico, Cursos Superiores de Biologia, Gestão Ambiental e Especializações em Ensino de Biologia e Geoprocessamento. Participa de projetos de pesquisa e extensão no IFPI, UnB e UFPB. Tem experiência na área de Ecologia, Zoologia e Meio Ambiente com ênfase em Herpetologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: ecologia, lagartos, serpentes, cerrado e meio ambiente. Atualmente se dedica principalmente no desenvolvimento de modelos de efeito das mudanças climáticas e risco de extinção da biodiversidade no Brasil.
