Luciana dos Santos Duarte

Doutoranda em Estudos do Desenvolvimento no International Institute of Social Studies (Universidade Erasmus de Rotterdam, Holanda). E também doutoranda em Engenharia de Produção (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brasil), na linha de "Estudos Sociais do Trabalho, Tecnologia e Expertise" (double degree). Mestra em Engenharia de Produção (UFMG) e bacharel em Design de Produto (UEMG). Durante seis anos, atuou como professora na graduação em Engenharia de Produção. Durante cinco anos, organizou e executou em Belo Horizonte o projeto social The Street Store (loja de rua beneficente para os moradores de rua) e o Pimp My Carroça (reforma e grafite de carrinhos de catadores), tendo atendido milhares de pessoas em vulnerabilidade social com milhões de roupas gratuitas junto a centenas de doadores e voluntários. Possui experiência nas áreas de Engenharia de Produção (ênfase em Processo do Produto; Engenharia do Produto; Layout de Fábrica), Design de Produto (ênfase em Vestuário, Acessórios e Joias) e Artes Visuais (exposição em Bangkok; participação na IV Bienal Brasileira de Design). PhD researcher in Development Studies at the International Institute of Social Studies (Erasmus University of Rotterdam, The Netherlands).She is also a PhD researcher in Production Engineering (Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil), in the line of "Social Studies of Work, Technology and Expertise" (double degree). Master in Production Engineering (UFMG) and Bachelor of Product Design (UEMG). For six years, she worked as a professor in the undergraduate course in Production Engineering. For five years, she organized and executed in Belo Horizonte the social project The Street Store (a street charity shop for the homeless) and the Pimp My Carroça (renovation and graffiti of waste pickers' carts).
