Lucas Odilon dos Anjos Noel da Silva

Mestre e doutorando em Antropologia Social pelo Museu Nacional/UFRJ, graduou-se em Relações Internacionais pela PUC-Rio. Sua produção acadêmica se concentra na análise antropológica das políticas públicas de refúgio e imigração no Brasil contemporâneo, focalizando, atualmente, a relação entre Estado, sexualidade e regimes de mobilidade humana transnacional. Em paralelo ao trabalho de pesquisa, foi Agente de Proteção voluntário no CEPRI-Casa Rui, uma clínica jurídica para refugiados e imigrantes vinculada à Fundação Casa de Rui Barbosa e à Cátedra Sergio Vieira de Mello. Anteriormente, serviu como Estagiário de Proteção do Acnur Brasil e também como Colaborador de Pesquisa voluntário no extinto escritório do Conare no Rio de Janeiro. É pesquisador do LACED (Laboratório de Pesquisas em Etnicidade, Cultura e Desenvolvimento - MN/UFRJ) e do LEMEP (Laboratório de Estudos de Mídia e Esfera Pública - IESP/UERJ).

Mr. Lucas Odilon holds a BA in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro and an MA in Social Anthropology from the National Museum of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, where he is currently a doctoral student. His academic production is centered on the anthropological analysis of asylum and immigration public policies in contemporary Brazil, currently focusing on the relationship between the State, sexuality and transnational human mobility regimes. In parallel to his research work, he was a volunteer Protection Agent at CEPRI-Casa Rui, a legal clinic for refugees and immigrants linked to the Casa de Rui Barbosa Foundation and the Sergio Vieira de Mello Academic Consortium. Previously, he served as a Protection Intern at UNHCR Brazil and also as a volunteer Research Collaborator at Brazil's National Committee for Refugees. He is a researcher at LACED (Research Laboratory in Ethnicity, Culture and Development - National Museum/UFRJ) and at LEMEP (Laboratory of Media and Public Sphere Studies - IESP/UERJ).
