Marcelo Augusto de Almeida Teixeira

Cursou Artes Plásticas na Fundação Guignard (1990). Possui formação técnica em Design de Interiores pelo Instituto de Arte e Projeto de Belo Horizonte, MG (1990) e graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo pela Universidade de Brasília (1997). Cursou Gastronomia no Instituto de Ensino Superior de Brasília (2010). Mestrado em Teoria e Historia da Arte e Ambiente Construído pela Universidade de Brasília (2013) e é Doutor em Sociologia pela Universidade de Brasília (2014). Tem experiência profissional na área de Arquitetura e Urbanismo, com ênfase em Projeto de Arquitetura e Design de Interiores, residencial e comercial. Interesse em Estudos Urbanos, Arquitetura, Sociologia da Arquitetura, Sociologia da sexualidade, vida noturna, globalização, Sociologia da Arquitetura, Estudos Utópicos. Foi professor das disciplinas de Teoria e Historia da Arquitetura, do Urbanismo e do Paisagismo, Arquitetura Contemporânea, Arquitetura Moderna e Arquitetura Brasileira no Centro Universitário do Distrito Federal (UDF) e também de Coquetelaria no SENAC-DF. Também atuou como diretor de Arte do longa-metragem "Ecoloucos: uma comédia insustentável" (2022) e do seriado "Réus" (2023), dirigidos por Cibele Amaral.

I studied Fine Arts at the Guignard Foundation (1989) and had a technical background in Interior Design by the Art and Design Institute of Belo Horizonte, MG (1991) and a degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Brasília (1997). I also attended Gastronomy at the Institute of Higher Education of Brasília (2010). Master in Theory and History of Art and Environment Built by the University of Brasília (2013) and holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Brasília (2014). I had experience in the area of Architecture and Urbanism, with emphasis on Architecture Design and Interior Design (residential and commercial). Current Interests in Urban Studies, Architecture, Sociology of Architecture, Queer Theory, Sociology of Sexuality, Nightlife, Globalization, Sociology of Architecture and Utopian Studies. I Currently teaches the subjects of Theory and History of Architecture and Brazilian Architecture in the University Center of the Federal District (UDF).
