Leonardo Gomes de Soutello Videira

Doutor (2023), Mestre (2016) Bacharel e Licenciado (2013) em Filosofia pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Atualmente trabalha com temas relacionados a identidade, discernibilidade e concebilidade em Metafísica, Epistemologia e Filosofia da Linguagem, mais especificamente, com o Princípio de Identidade dos Indiscerníveis. No mestrado, que contou com um período sanduíche financiado pela FAPESP na Universidade de Glasgow, trabalhou principalmente com a filosofia de Quine, mais especificamente com o debate acerca da noção de analiticidade. Por conta disso, parte considerável de seu trabalho foi com teorias de significado, não apenas em Quine. Ademais, tem interesses marginais em Filosofia Política (teorias da democracia e epistocracia) e em Estética (humor) e História da Filosofia Contemporânea.

Got his PhD (2023), MPhil (2016) Bachelor and Licentiate (2013) in Philosophy from the State University of Campinas. Currently works with themes related to identity, discernibility and conceivability in Metaphysics, Epistemology, and Philosophy of Language, more specifically, with the Principle of Identity of Indiscernibles. During his master's degree, which had a period as a visiting researcher at the Univesity of Glasgow, he worked mainly with Quine's philosophy, more specifically with the debate about the notion of analyticity. A considerable part of his work at that level was on theories of meaning, not just on Quine. Furthermore, he has marginal interests in the History of Contemporary Philosophy, Political Philosophy (theories of democracy and epistocracy) and in Aesthetics (humor).
