Guilherme Márcio Soares

Guilherme Márcio Soares graduou-se em Engenharia Elétrica pela Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora em 2012. Obteve os títulos de mestre e doutor em engenharia elétrica pela mesma universidade em 2014 e 2017, respectivamente. É professor efetivo da UFJF desde 2015 e leciona aulas para os cursos de graduação e pós-graduação da instituição. Suas principais áreas de pesquisa envolvem controladores de LED de alta confiabilidade, microcontroladores, conversão eletrônica de energia, correção de fator de potência e otimização de conversores estáticos. Também atua em projetos na área de automação industrial, aplicação de internet das coisas (IoT) em sistemas industriais e subestações 4.0. Atualmente é revisor das revistas IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics,Journal of Control, Automation and Electrical Systems e Revista Eletrônica de Potência. Coordena projetos de pesquisa financiados pelo CNPq e FAPEMIG.

Guilherme Márcio Soares has obtained his bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora in 2012. He also obtained the master's and doctor's degree in electrical engineering from the same university in 2014 and 2017, respectively. He has been a full professor at UFJF since 2015 and teaches classes for undergraduate and postgraduate students. His main areas of research involve long life LED drivers, microcontrollers, electronic energy conversion, power factor correction and optimization of static converters. He also works on projects in the area of industrial automation, application of internet of things (IoT) in industrial systems and substations 4.0. He is currently a reviewer of the following journals: IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, IEEE Transaction on Industrial Electronics, Journal of Control, Automation and Electrical Systems and Electronic Power Magazine. Furthermore, he coordinates research projects funded by CNPq and FAPEMIG.
