Sarah Luiza de Souza Moreira

Cientista Social, graduada pela Universidade Estadual do Ceará - UECE; Especialista em Educação Ambiental pela mesma universidade; Mestra em Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Rural pela Faculdade de Planaltina da Universidade de Brasília - UNB. Durante a graduação desenvolvi trabalhos referentes à participação política das mulheres (em uma perspectiva de gênero), tanto nos espaços institucionais da política quanto nos movimentos sociais, apresentando o trabalho "As mulheres rumo ao legislativo municipal de Fortaleza: novas personagens, novas estratégias?". Na especialização defendi a pesquisa intitulada "Mulheres e meio ambiente: o olhar das mulheres sobre os fogões ecológicos: estudo de caso da comunidade Garapa I/Acarape-CE". No mestrado analisei a contribuição da Marcha das Margaridas para as políticas públicas de Agroecologia no Brasil. Atualmente, sou doutoranda pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação de Ciências Sociais em Desenvolvimento, Agricultura e Sociedade pela Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (CPDA/UFRRJ). Na vida profissional, trabalhei por 8 anos na ONG Esplar - Centro de Pesquisa e Assessoria realizando trabalhos de fortalecimento da organização e produção das mulheres trabalhadoras rurais, a partir do conceito de gênero, na perspectiva feminista. No semiárido cearense, trabalhei com agroecologia, soberania e segurança alimentar e nutricional e justiça ambiental. Realizei por 2 anos trabalho como assessora da Secretaria de Mulheres da CONTAG - Confederação Nacional dos Trabalhadores na Agricultura, com uma ação de caráter nacional de fortalecimento da organização das mulheres no movimento sindical e na luta na defesa do desenvolvimento rural sustentável, com igualdade, autonomia, liberdade, justiça e democracia. Trabalhei como Consultora em Gênero, Raça/Etnia e Geração pelo Instituto Interamericano de Cooperação para a Agricultura (IICA) no Projeto Viva o Semiárido, da Secretaria da Agricultura Familiar do Governo do Estado do Piauí, entre os anos de 2018 e 2021. Trabalhei como Consultora junto à Articulação Nacional de Agroecologia. Áreas de interesse: Gênero; Mulheres Rurais; Agroecologia; Participação Política das Mulheres; Políticas Públicas.

Social Scientist, graduated from the State University of Ceará - UECE; Specialist in Environmental Education from the same university; Master in Environment and Rural Development from the Faculty of Planaltina, University of Brasília - UNB. In the specialization, I defended the research entitled "Women and the environment: the look of women on ecological stoves: a case study of the Garapa I/Acarape-CE community". In the master's degree, I analyzed the contribution of the Marcha das Margaridas to public policies on Agroecology in Brazil. I am currently a doctoral student at the Graduate Program in Social Sciences in Development, Agriculture and Society at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (CPDA/UFRRJ). In my professional life, I worked for 8 years at the NGO Esplar - Centro de Pesquisa e Assessoria, carrying out work to strengthen the organization and production of rural women workers, based on the concept of gender, from a feminist perspective. In the semi-arid region of Ceará, I worked with agroecology, food and nutrition sovereignty and security, and environmental justice. I worked for 2 years as an advisor to the Women's Secretariat of CONTAG - National Confederation of Agricultural Workers, with a national action to strengthen the organization of women in the union movement and in the fight to defend sustainable rural development, with equality, autonomy , freedom, justice and democracy. I worked as a Gender, Race/Ethnicity and Generation Consultant for the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) in the Viva o Semiárido Project, of the Family Agriculture Secretariat of the Government of the State of Piauí, between 2018 and 2021.
