Debora Albu

Debora Albu holds an MSc in Gender, Development and Globalization from the London School of Economics and Political Science, in the UK, being awarded with a Chevening scholarship. She holds a B.A. in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). In 2015, she completed the course "Gender Equality" at the University of Oslo, in Norway. She has worked in the areas of activism, youth and public policy at Amnesty International and at University of Youth. Debora was project and communications manager at the Center for International Relations at Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV). Her research focuses in the fields of democracy and technology, civic technologies and gender studies. She is program coordinator of the Democracy and Technology area at the Institute for Technology and Society.

Mestre em Gênero e Desenvolvimento pela London School of Economics and Political Science - com bolsa pela Chevening Brazil Award - e graduada em Relações Internacionais pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Realizou curso de extensão em Estudos de Gênero na Universidade de Oslo, na Noruega. Trabalhou em áreas de ativismo e juventude no Secretariado Internacional da Anistia Internacional e na Universidade da Juventude. Foi gerente de projetos e de comunicação no Centro de Relações Internacionais da Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). Também escreve para veículos de comunicação online independentes. Desenvolve pesquisas na área de democracia e tecnologia, ativismo digital e estudos de gênero. É coordenadora da área de Democracia e Tecnologia no Instituto de Tecnologia e Sociedade.
