Geangelo Petene Calvi

I have a degree in Forestry Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2006), a Master's degree in Tropical Forestry Sciences from the National Institute of Amazonian Research (2008) and a PhD in Tropical Forestry Sciences, area of concentration in Forestry from the National Institute of Amazonian Research (2015). He is currently working as a technician at the Seed Laboratory of the National Institute for Research in the Amazon, in Manaus. Since 2022 I have been deputy coordinator of the Technical Commission on Forest Seeds of the Brazilian Association of Seed Technology (ABRATES), of which I have been a member since 2015. I am also a member of the technical committee for Forest Tree and Shrub Seeds (Forest Tree and Shrub Seed Committee) ISTA (International Seed Testing Association). My research areas are focused on Forestry Resources and Forestry Engineering, especially in forest seeds, with the main topics being recalcitrant seed storage, germination, viability tests, stress and viability markers in forest seeds, seed conditioning and restoration ecology .https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8631-2325

Possuo graduação em Engenharia Florestal pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (2006), mestrado em Ciências Florestais Tropicais pelo Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (2008) e doutorado em Ciências Florestais Tropicais, área de concentração em Silvicultura do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia (2015). Atualmente trabalho como técnico no Laboratório de Sementes do Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas da Amazônia, em Manaus. Desde 2022 sou vice coordenador da Comissão Técnica de Sementes Florestais da Associação Brasileira de Tecnologia de Sementes (ABRATES), da qual sou membro desde 2015. Também sou membro do comitê técnico de Sementes florestais de árvores e arbustos (Forest Tree and Shrub Seed Committee) da ISTA (International Seed Testing Association). Minhas áreas de pesquisas são voltadas para Recursos Florestais e Engenharia Florestal, especialmente em sementes florestais, sendo os principais temas o armazenamento de sementes recalcitrantes, germinação, testes de viabilidade, marcadores de estresse e viabilidade em sementes florestais, condicionamento de sementes e ecologia de restauração.https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8631-2325
