Vinícius coelho Carrard

Graduated in Dentistry (2000), Master (2003) and Doctorate (2008) in Dentistry (Oral Pathology) from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He carried out a short-term scientific mission at the VU Medical Center in Amsterdam/Holland (2012). Currently, is Associate Professor (Level II) of Pathology and Stomatology at the Faculty of Dentistry ? UFRGS (FO-UFRGS), being responsible for the discipline of Special Pathology II. Permanent professor of the PPG in Dentistry at UFRGS, acting as advisor at the Masters and Doctoral levels. Preceptor and advisor of the Integrated Residency Program in Oral Health at FO-UFRGS. He was Substitute Professor of General Histology and Oral and Dental Histology and Embryology (2003-2005) and Basic Pathology and Oral Pathology (2009-2010) FO-UFRGS. He coordinates the Stomatology area of TelessaúdeRS-UFRGS, where he works as a teleconsultant since 2009, participating in the idealization and implementation of the Telediagnosis service (EstomatoNet). In the area of Teleeducation, he acted as coordinator of the distance course ?Stomatology for the clinical dental surgeon? and helped to organize the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology course, in addition to having participated in the production of numerous educational materials about mouth diseases. Preceptor in the Stomatology area at the Dental Specialties Center/UFRGS and member of the clinical staff of the Stomatology Unit of the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre. Member of the Ethics Committee for Research on Human Beings (CEP) at UFRGS between 2011 and 2021. He is currently a member of the Research Committee at FO-UFRGS He participated in the SIG Odontologia - Diagnóstico Oral, a discussion group linked to the University Network of Telemedicine (RUTE) of which he was National Coordinator in the periods of 2014/2 and 2015/1. Member of the Brazilian Society of Stomatology and Oral Pathology, having participated in the Board of Social Actions (2014-2016) and in the organizing team of the 46th congress of the entity as vice president. He is currently a member of the Fiscal Council. He has experience in the areas of Oral Pathology, Stomatology and Collective Oral Health, working mainly on the following topics: teledentistry, training for the diagnosis of oral cancer for primary care health professionals, oral cancer, potentially malignant disorders, effects of ethanol on oral mucosa, diagnosis and treatment of oral lesions. Coordinates the extension projects ?STOMATOLOGY FOR DENTAL SURGEONS OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH CARE NETWORK? and ?RED MAY PROJECT - FIGHT AGAINST ORAL CANCER (2011-2021). Advisor Professor of the 52nd Academic Week of the Faculty of Dentistry (UFRGS) (2020). Ad hoc reviewer of several international journals and Member of the Brazilian Society for Dental Research (SBPQO) and the Brazilian Association of Dental Education. Participates in research in collaboration with research groups from UFPR, UFSC, UFPEL, UFPE, University of Michigan, University of Barcelona and UNICAMP.

Possui Graduação em Odontologia (2000), Mestrado (2003) e Doutorado (2008) em Odontologia (Patologia Bucal) pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). UFRGS (FO-UFRGS), sendo responsável pela disciplina de Patologia Especial II. Professor permanente do PPG em Odontologia da UFRGS, atuando como orientador nos níveis Mestrado e Doutorado. Preceptor e orientador do programa de Residência Integrada em Saúde Bucal da FO-UFRGS. Foi Professor Substituto das Disciplinas de Histologia Geral e Histologia e Embriologia Buco-Dentária (2003-2005) e Patologia Básica e Patologia Bucal (2009-2010) FO-UFRGS. Coordena a área de Estomatologia do TelessaúdeRS-UFRGS, onde atua como teleconsultor desde 2009, participando da idealização e implantação do serviço de Telediagnóstico (EstomatoNet). Na área da Teleeducação, atuou como coordenador do curso à distância ?Estomatologia para o cirurgião dentista clínico? e auxiliou na organização do curso de Cirurgia e traumatologia Bucomaxilofacial, além de ter participado da produção de inúmeros materiais educativos voltados às doenças que acometem a boca. Preceptor na área de Estomatologia no Centro de Especialidades Odontológicas/UFRGS e membro do corpo clínico da Unidade de Estomatologia do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre. Foi membro do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa em Seres Humanos (CEP) da UFRGS entre 2011 e 2021. Atualmente, é membro da Comissão de Pesquisa da FO-UFRGS Participou do SIG Odontologia - Diagnóstico Bucal, grupo de discussão vinculado à Rede Universitária de Telemedicina (RUTE) do qual foi Coordenador Nacional nos períodos de 2014/2 e 2015/1. Membro da Sociedade Brasileira de Estomatologia e Patologia Oral, tendo participado da Diretoria de Ações Sociais (2014-2016) e da equipe organizadora do 46º congresso da entidade como vice-presidente. Atualmente faz parte do Conselho Fiscal. Tem experiência nas áreas de Patologia Bucal, Estomatologia e Saúde Bucal Coletiva, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: teleodontologia, capacitação para o diagnóstico do câncer de boca para profissionais de saúde da atenção básica, câncer de boca, desordens potencialmente malignas, efeitos do etanol na mucosa bucal, diagnóstico e tratamento de lesões bucais. Coordena os projetos de extensão ?ATUALIZAÇÃO DO CURSO EAD EM ESTOMATOLOGIA PARA CIRURGIÕES-DENTISTAS DA REDE PÚBLICA DE ATENÇÃO À SAÚDE? e ?PROJETO MAIO VERMELHO - LUTA CONTRA O CÂNCER DE BOCA (2011-2021).
