Giuliano Bonfá
Bachelor in Biochemistry at Federal University of Viçosa (UFV-MG) (2008). Master of Science (2010) and PhD (2014) at School of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (FMRP/USP), area of concentration: Basic and Applied Immunology (CAPES 7). Postdoctoral Fellow at the Pharmaceutical Company MedImmune/AstraZeneca in Cambridge-UK (from March/2015 to December/2016) in a partnership with the Brazilian Program Science Without Borders (SWB). Currently a Postdoc Research Fellow at Butantan Institute - São Paulo-SP, Brazil at the Immunochemistry Laboratory working with Signaling pathways involved in inflammatory response in 3D culture models of osteoarthritis. Excellent planning and organisational skills, ability to develop and conduct individual and collaborative research objectives. Worked recently in the field of Immuno-Oncology, using CRISPR/Cas9 system as an approach to introduce genetic modifications in cell lines. Has expertise in techniques such as human and mouse cell lines culturing, qPCR and flow cytometry. Has extensive experience also in cell and molecular biology, Immunoparasitology, Inflammation of the intestinal mucosa and Immunoregulation working with in vivo models, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, histology, molecular cloning and western blotting.
