Maxime TRAINEAU

I am a Phd expert in poultry nutrition and behavior. The main subject of my doctoral thesis was the utilization of an innovative feeding system in laying hens, the sequential feeding in particular. Sequential feeding consists in splitting the nutrients into two different diets whose combination allows adequate nutrient supply throughout the day. During three years I worked with academic institutions (INRA, ITAVI) as well as a private company (INZO ). The collaboration allowed me to get substantial knowledge in poultry production, nutritional needs, feeding and housing systems and also on laboratory management, leading and building experimental studies. I investigated a new feeding distribution based on chono-nutrition and adaptation of food distribution on hen s nutrient s needs. I also made a meta-analysis to investigate the regulation of feed intake in laying hens and the impact of nutrient intake on laying and growth performances During my Master s study I worked on the evaluation of food transition in chicken in farm conditions. Scan and focal sampling recordings permitted to precisely evaluate the effects of a new diet on feeding behavior, spatial repartition and social facilitation relative to pellets form and composition.
