Adriana Vaz Safatle-Ribeiro

Graduated in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1987), Master's (1999), Doctorate (2001) and Associate Professor (2011) in Digestive System Surgery also from the University of São Paulo. He is a former Research Fellow in the Department of Gastroenterology at the University of Pittsburgh, USA (1992-1996). She is currently coordinator of the Colonoscopy and Enteroscopy Service of the Discipline of Coloproctology at Hospital das Clínicas, assistant physician at the Interventional Endoscopy Service of the Cancer Institute of the USP Medical School and assistant physician at the Endoscopy Service at Hospital Sírio-Libanês. She is a member of the International Editorial Board of the Journal Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and a member of the National Editorial Board of the Archives of Gastroenterology Journal. She is an ad hoc reviewer of the journals Endoscopy, Digestive and Liver Disesase, BMC Gastroenterology (Online), Endoscopy International Open, Plos one, Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology and Clinics. She has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Digestive Surgery and Coloproctology, working mainly on the following topics: enteroscopy, molecular markers, gastrointestinal cancer, colorectal cancer screening, confocal endomicroscopy, Helicobacter pylori and obesity. She participates in the Latin American Colorectal Cancer Screening Center, in addition to the Latin American Enteroscopy Center. She is a member of the following National Medical Societies: BRAZILIAN SOCIETY OF COLOPROCTOLOGY, ASSOCIAÇÃO PAULISTA DE MEDICINA (APM), BRAZILIAN SOCIETY OF DIGESTIVE ENDOSCOPY (SOBED), BRAZILIAN ASSOCIATION OF GASTRIC CANCER, (ABCG) BRAZILIAN ASSOCIATION FOR THE PREVENTION OF INTESTINE CANCER (ABRAPRECI) and member of the International Medical Societies: AMERICAN COLLEGE OF GASTROENTEROLOGY (ACG), FELLOW AMERICAN SOCIETY FOR GASTROINTESTINAL ENDOSCOPY (ASGE), INTERNATIONAL GASTRIC CANCER ASSOCIATION (IGCC), EUROPEAN SOCIETY FOR GASTROINTESTINAL ENDOSCOPY (ESGE), INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF DISEASES OF ESOPHAGUS (ISDE).

Possui graduação em Medicina pela Universidade de São Paulo (1987), mestrado (1999), doutorado (2001) e Livre-Docência (2011) em Cirurgia do Aparelho Digestivo também pela Universidade de São Paulo. É Ex-Research Fellow do Departamento de Gastroenterologia da Universidade de Pittsburgh, EUA (1992-1996). Atualmente é coordenadora do Serviço de Colonoscopia e Enteroscopia da Disciplina de Coloproctologia do Hospital das Clínicas, médica assistente do Serviço de Endoscopia Intervencionista do Instituto do Câncer da Faculdade de Medicina da USP e médica assistente do Serviço de Endoscopia do Hospital Sírio-Libanês. É membro do corpo Editorial Internacional da Revista Gastrointestinal Endoscopy e membro do corpo Editorial Nacional da Revista Arquivos de Gastroenterologia. É revisora ad hoc das revistas Endoscopy, Digestive and Liver Disesase, BMC Gastroenterology (Online), Endoscopy International Open, Plos one, Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology e Clinics. Tem experiência na área de Medicina, com ênfase em Cirurgia do Aparelho Digestivo e Coloproctologia, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: enteroscopia, marcadores moleculares, câncer gastrointestinal, rastreamento do câncer colorretal, endomicroscopia confocal, Helicobacter pylori e obesidade. Participa do núcleo de rastreamento de câncer colorretal da América Latina, além do núcleo de enteroscopia da América Latina.
