Renata Rojas Guerra

Graduada em Ciências Econômicas (2013) e mestre em Engenharia de Produção (2015), ambos pela Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM). Doutora em Estatística pelo Programa de Pós-graduação em Estatística da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (2017). Atualmente é Professora Adjunta da UFSM e Pesquisadora Visitante junto ao Telecommunications and Remote Sensing Laboratory, Pavia, Itália. Em 2023 recebeu o Prêmio ISI Jan Tinbergen Awards Winners - Division A e foi selecionada na 6 Chamada Pública de Apoio à Ciência do Instituto Serrapilheira na área de Matemática. Possui interesse nas áreas de análise de sobrevivência, econometria, teoria de distribuições, processamento estatístico de imagens/sinais e modelos dinâmicos e de regressão para séries temporais duplamente limitadas.

She received a B.Sc. degree in Economics from the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM), Santa Maria, Brazil, in 2013, a Masters's degree in Production Engineering from the UFSM in 2015, and a Ph.D. degree in Statistics from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), Recife, Brazil, in 2017. From 2022 to 2023, she also collaborated as a visiting researcher at the Telecommunications and Remote Sensing Laboratory, University of Pavia, Italy. Since 2017, she has been with the Federal University of Santa Maria, where she is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics. In 2023, she was selected as the winner in the Jan Tinbergen Awards: Division A and in the 6th Call of Serrapilheira Institute in the Mathematics field. Her research interests include data science, distribution theory, econometrics, regression/dynamic models, reliability engineering, and statistical signal/image processing.
