Abner Luis Calixter

Abner Calixter is a climate-minded researcher (Ph.D.), project manager and consultant and has his research focused on urban climate adaptation of vulnerable communities in the context of excessive heat. HIs doctoral thesis verses about the associations of weather variables and criminality in the Brazilian Federal District. His solid academic background covers a Master of Arts (M.A) degree in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management - Brandeis University (2014). His expertise in ESG, Urban Climate Adaptation has been further enriched through his time with the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) DUSP ? Department of Urban Studies and Planning. At the Harvard Graduate School of Design (GSD), he has earned Executive Education Certificates in Climate Adapted Design and Master Planning for Sustainable Cities, and contributed with research to the land-use plan that has been developed by GSD to the Exuma archipelago in the Bahamas.
Abner Luis Calixter é Doutor em Desenvolvimento Sustentável pela Universidade de Brasília (CDS - UnB) com tese investigando associações entre variáveis climáticas e violência urbana em Brasília, Distrito Federal. É especialista em ESG, planos de adaptações urbanas às mudanças climáticas evidenciando a morfologia e os microclimas urbanos como indicadores de vulnerabilidade e insustentabilidade. Consultor ao setor privado em aderência e materialidade aos parâmetros ESG. Mestre em Desenvolvimento Internacional Sustentável pela The Heller School for Social Policy and Management - Brandeis University (2014) com os créditos em Harvard University e Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT. Possui experiência em projetos, formulação de políticas públicas e pesquisa. Atuou como consultor afiliado ao Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure - Harvard University Graduate School of Design
