Alberto Moreira Jorge Junior
Alberto Moreira Jorge Junior is graduated in Electronic Engineering from School of Engineering of São Carlos, São Paulo University (1984), Master's Degree in the Federal University of São Carlos (1991 and Ph.D. in Science and Engineering of Materials, Federal University of São Carlos (1997). He was visiting researcher at McGill University, Canada (1997), CNRS, France (2004) and UPC, Spain (2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012), Grenoble-INP (2013-2014). He is currently a Senior Professor at the Federal University of São Carlos and became the Head of the Department of Materials Engineering, Federal University of São Carlos between 2002-2004. He has experience in the area of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering, with emphasis on Physical Metallurgy, acting on the following topics: conventional thermomechanical processing, SPD processing (ECAP; HPT; ARB), amorphous and rapidly quenched materials, metastable and nanostructured alloys, quasi-crystals, high entropy alloys, nanoporous materials, amorphous coatings, materials for hydrogen storage, materials for implants, physical and numerical simulation, corrosion, mechanical properties, microstructural characterization of advanced and conventional materials by electron microscopy.
