Sara Eloy

Sara Eloy graduated in Architecture (FA.UTL 1998) and have a PhD in Architecture (IST.UTL 2012) under the theme Transformation grammar-based methodology for housing rehabilitation: meeting contemporary functional and ICT requirements .Sara is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture and Urbanism at ISCTE-IUL in Lisbon and teaches disciplines of Building Technologies, Architectural Computer Aided Design and Computation. She has been published in several journals, magazines and proceedings and had presented her research in several international meetings. Since the end of her graduation she has collaborated in several architectural firms in Portugal. At these firms she has followed the development of projects ranging from the urban plan scale, the building scale, the architectural detailing to the furniture scale. When working at Sonae Industries Sara has participated in multidisciplinary teams in the planning and monitoring of the construction of large commercial buildings and at Nuno Teotónio Pereira + Pedro Viana Botelho she has been involved in large projects mostly for service buildings. Sara Eloy tem a licenciatura em Arquitetura (FA.UTL 1998) e o Doutoramento em Arquitetura (IST.UTL 2012) com o tema Transformation grammar-based methodology for housing rehabilitation: meeting contemporary functional and ICT requirements .Sara é atualmente Professora Auxiliar no Departamento de Arquitetura e Urbanismo do ISCTE-IUL em Lisboa e ensina nas áreas de Tecnologias da Arquitetura, CAD e computação. Publicou em diversas revistas e atas e apresentou a sua investigação em diversos encontros científicos.Desde o final da sua licenciatura colaborou com vários ateliers de arquitetura em Portugal. Nesses ateliers acompanhou o desenvolvimento de projetos de várias escalas de intervenção desde a escala urbana, ao edifício e até à escala do mobiliário.
